If you agree, try this unmissable snowshoe hike on Mount Terminillo: you’ll be able to explore the eastern slope of the mountain along a 4 km route, reaching an altitude of 1, 800 metres.
The snow-covered landscapes you’ll see will enchant you!
What we will do
We’ll meet at the meeting point in Micigliano (RI), where our nature guides will be waiting for us and will lead us to the starting point of the hike in a matter of minutes. Before setting off, they will provide us with the necessary equipment (snowshoes and poles) and hold a briefing of about 20 minutes to teach us how to snowshoe properly and explain the route.
We will then set off on the hike along a route of around 4 km, with a maximum elevation gain of 180 m, reaching an altitude of 1, 800 metres. All around us, we’ll be able to admire the beautiful snow-covered landscape on the slopes of Monte Terminillo.
We’ll explore the eastern slope of the mountain, making our way through beech woods until we reach a vantage point overlooking the Sella di Leonessa. This point will mark the halfway stage of our route, and we’ll stop there for about 30 minutes to rest and listen to the guide’s explanations about the area’s mountaineering history.
Finally, we’ll resume our snowshoe hike and return to the starting point, stopping for a few more minutes to take in and photograph the most picturesque landscapes.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours, 2 of which will be spent snowshoeing.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for those aged 14 and over. Children aged 14 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult taking part in the snowshoe walk; those aged 16 and 17 may take part unaccompanied provided they have a consent form signed by a responsible adult.
Other information
The experience is available from December to March and is confirmed once the minimum number of 4 participants has been reached.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and snow conditions, at the guides’ discretion.
Dogs on a lead are permitted.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
