Full description
Treat yourself to one of the most spectacular mountain routes in Abruzzo. Put snowshoes on your feet and let yourself be guided by an expert guide along a route of medium difficulty that will take you to the heart of theAltopiano delle Cinque Miglia plateau.
You will enjoy an extraordinary landscape, which becomes even more unforgettable thanks to the Montagna Spaccata gorges.
You will cover a distance of 6/7 km and fill your eyes with peaks such as Monte Genzana and Monte Rotella. Join us!
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the indicated time in Rivisondoli (AQ) , where the guide will be waiting for us. After the various introductions, we will be given snowshoes and poles (included) and have a briefing on the route. Once we are ready, the hike will begin.
We will hike through fresh snow in a unique area protected by parks and reserves to the heart of the Altopiano delle Cinque Miglia, which stretches for no less than 9 km at an altitude of between 1, 250 and 1, 280 metres.
We then continue to the unforgettable landscape of the Montagna Spaccata with its spectacular gorges, made even more special by the presence of snow. Walking on the paths with the steep walls of the gorges on one side and the beech forests on the other will be a unique experience.
We will be able to admire peaks such as Monte Genzana and Monte Rotella and enjoy the magnificent snowy scenery that surrounds us.
The route measures a total of 6/7 km, with an altitude difference of about 350 metres. The activity lasts about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The hike is classified as of medium difficulty and is suitable for everyone from 13 years of age and up. Some walking ability is necessary.

The snowshoe hike is scheduled on the scheduled dates in the calendar and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 6 participants.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the practicability of the trails.
Dogs are not allowed for safety reasons.
