In the footsteps of the wolves, the undisputed kings of this forest in the heart of Tuscany!
The Casentino Forests National Park has an ancestral charm, which you will be able to experience to the full with this 6-hour snowshoe hike.
In a 9 km itinerary with a maximum altitude difference of 350 m, you will admire the footprints of wild animals and reach the highest peak of the park from which you can literally admire almost the whole of Italy!
What are you waiting for, then? Put on your snowshoes, climb up the snowy ridge and enjoy the surreal panorama while warming yourself with a bomber!
What we will do
We will meet our guide at 10 a.m. in Stia (AR). Here we will get to know our snowshoeing companions and gear up to climb to the summit of Monte Falco.
There will be 9 km of snowshoeing awaiting us (maximum altitude difference of 350 m), and on this route we will penetrate into the beech forests that thrive on the slopes of the park.
We will pay attention to the signs in the snow of wild animals and try to listen to their calls, with the guide helping us in this fascinating quest.
We will reach the top of Monte Falco, where on a clear day we can admire the distant Marmolada and even distant Croatia! To celebrate this great little achievement, we will then toast with a glass of bitter or hot tea before setting off again.
Once again admiring the view around us, we will head back to the starting point to say goodbye and return to our warm huts down in the valley, after 6 hours of snowshoeing and fun.

The activity is at an easy level and is aimed at everyone from 14 years old and up.
Other information
The activity takes place on weekends from January to March and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
