Full description

This snowshoe hike will make you feel like you own the world.

Because once you cross the finish line on the Remacinelli Pass, at an altitude of 1,664 metres, you will have the highest peaks of the Majella before you! Grab your poles, put on your snowshoes and let our mountain guide accompany you on a discovery of the Majella National Park's winter landscape.

A more than 2-hour experience of flora, fauna and panoramic views!

What we will do

The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Pretoro (CH). Awaiting us will be the mountain guide who will accompany us on this adventure in the snow!

Having gathered all the participants and handed over theequipment, a briefing will take place to explain how to walk with snowshoes and provide all the useful information for a carefree experience.

Poles in fist and snowshoes on feet, we will then be ready for our snowshoe hike in the Maiella National Park. There will be several short stops along the way: we will stop at a vantage point to enjoy the view of the Adriatic Coast, from the Conero Riviera to the Tremiti Islands; we will encounter huts belonging to local shepherds, an opportunity for a historical and cultural insight; we will stop for a snack break and take the opportunity to participate in a lesson on mountain safety.

After recharging our batteries with a snack, we will enter a forest to discover the fauna, mainly beeches, and local flora, bears. We will tackle a short ascent to reach the summit of the Remacinelli Pass, at an altitude of 1,664 metres, and cross the finish line together. From up here we will enjoy a unique panoramic view of the highest peaks of the Maiella, which will be the backdrop for our group photo!

After covering about 6 km with an altitude difference of 300 metres, we will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 2 ½ hours.
