When you admire a snow-covered mountain, can't help but dream of being up there?
A snowshoe hike is the natural solution if you just can't do without the feeling of freedom in the mountains . And the white expanses of Mount Terminillo are the ideal destination to put on snowshoes and test yourself with this candid adventure!
Imagine walking on the white that gradually changes colour as the sun sets, the sun going down and torches being lit to shine in an even more evocative setting.
Halfway through, an aperitif to toast to adventures and life, and then everyone in line to return home after 3 hours and 6 exciting km of snow and snowshoes!
What we will do
We begin our snowshoe hike by meeting our guide at 15:00 at the meeting point in Pian de' Valli (RI).
Time for a brief introduction and, having donned our snowshoes, we set off on our tour, which covers 6 km (300 m of altitude difference) of expanses of snow, dense snow-covered forests and sensational viewpoints overlooking the main mountains of central Italy.
In fact, Mount Terminillo is an incredible viewpoint from which we will be able to admire the many peaks looming around it and also others farther off in the distance.
After about an hour and a half, it is time to refresh ourselves with an aperitif with our new companions and our guide: a glass of prosecco, a juice and some snacks will be a well-deserved break after an intense first walk in the snow.
We warm up with a freshly prepared mulled wine for those who want it and off we go! Spicy, warm wine is the cure-all for any mountain lover!
Now that the sun has set and we are halfway through our tour, it is time to use the torches we have with us. The snow no longer illuminates the landscape and we will follow the line and our companions towards the return route under the starry sky.
The experience will take about three hours, of which about one and a half to two hours will be spent actually walking.

Caution! The meeting point anditinerary may vary according to weather conditions at the guide's discretion. The itinerary could therefore be more or less demanding, ranging from 300 to 400 metres in height difference; contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail for more information.
The activity is available from December to April and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
It is necessary to bring hand or head torches. Head torches can be hired or purchased on site.
Leashed dogs are allowed on the experience.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
