If snowshoeing in the sunlight no longer holds any secrets, perhaps the time has come to try snowshoeing at night!
Surround yourself with the charm of the Casentino Forests National Park: put on your snowshoes for a truly unique 4-hour excursion.
You will be able to enjoy one of the most sparkling sunsets in Tuscany and, when evening gives way to the stars, immerse yourself in the panorama of snow-covered woods in the moonlight.

What we will do
We will meet at 16:00 with our guide in Stia (AR). Here we will get to know our snowshoeing companions and equip ourselves with snowshoes and poles (included) to walk nimbly in the snow!
9 km of snowshoeing await us (maximum altitude difference of 350 m), and along this route we will penetrate into the beech forests that thrive on the slopes of the park.
We will reach Poggio Scali to admire the sunset, a natural terrace overlooking Sasso Fratino and Lake Ridracoli. From here, we will see the sun set over Romagna and the snow around us change colour as the sky changes.
We will admire the stars and try to recognise the constellations that fill the firmament in the favour of darkness. In silence, armed with a torch, we will walk through the woods and glades, listening to the sounds of winter nature.
Before setting off again, we can celebrate this experience with a bombard or hot tea offered by the guide. Once again admiring the panorama, we will head back to our starting point to say goodbye.
The activity has a total duration of about 4 hours.

The activity is at an easy level and is aimed at everyone from 14 years old and up.

The activity takes place on weekends from January to March and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
