Do you look at a snow-capped mountain and can't help but dream of being up there? Do you miss hiking in the wilderness and can't wait to get your boots back on?
A snowshoe hike is the natural solution if you just can't do without the feeling of freedom in the mountains . And the white expanses of Monte Terminillo are the ideal destination to put on snowshoes and test yourself with this candid adventure!
A simple 6 km snowshoe hike and a warm glass of mulled wine to finish, a dream!
What we will do
We begin our snowshoe hike by meeting at 10 a .m. at the meeting point communicated the day before by the guide in Pian de' Valli (RI).
Time for a brief introduction and, having donned our snowshoes, we set off on our tour, which covers 6 km (altitude difference 300 m) of expanses of snow, snow-covered woods and sensational viewpoints overlooking the main mountains of central Italy. In fact, Monte Terminillo is an incredible vantage point from which to admire the many peaks that loom around it and also farther away in the distance.
After about an hour and a half, it is time to refresh ourselves and warm up with a mulled wine prepared on the spot with a camp cooker in one of the snowy clearings that we will walk through with our snowshoes. The hot, spiced wine is the panacea for any mountain lover!
We resume our tour and listen to the many hints that our guide will reveal to us step by step, as we slowly make our way towards our meeting point, the final destination of this incredible snow and snowshoeing adventure.
The experience will last about three hours, but between stops we will actually walk about one and a half to two hours.

Caution! The meeting point anditinerary may vary according to weather conditions at the guide's discretion. The itinerary could therefore be more or less demanding, ranging from 300 to 400 metres in height difference; contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail for more information.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
The activity is available from December to April and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
Leashed dogs are allowed on the experience.
