Enter the marvellous snowy forests ofAbetone on a half-daysnowshoeing excursion and discover the most evocative trails of one of the largest ski resorts in theTuscan-Emilian Apennines.
Explore this fascinating place by walking on fresh snow in total tranquillity together with an expert environmental guide and get ready to admire the vast panorama on the Modenese side. You will be left speechless!
What we will do
The meeting with the guide will take place at 9.30 a.m. in the historic Piazza delle Piramidi in Abetone (PT). After a briefing on the activity, we will put on our snowshoes and set off on this exciting adventure in the snow.
The guide will accompany us along the most evocative paths in the area. We will walk quietly through the frozen beech forests, enveloped in thewinter atmosphere and fascinated by the special play of light created by the sun's rays reflecting off the snow. About halfway along, we will stop for a picnic meal and to recharge our batteries.
The route is about 9 km long, has a slight difference in altitude but is free of technical difficulties and is suitable for anyone who enjoys walking in the mountains. The activity lasts a total of about 5.5 hours, including several scenic stops along the way, and ends with the return to the starting point.

The activity can be carried out from December to March, subject to weather conditions and the availability of the guide, and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
