If Sagittarius is just a zodiac sign for you, get ready to discover the river of the same name in Abruzzo with asoft rafting activity suitable for everyone.
Paddling on an inflatable boat, under the supervision of a guide, you will face gentle and lively currents while admiring unique natural landscapes. We promise you 50 minutes of pure fun!
What are you waiting for to brave the water?
What we will do
We will meet in Roccacasale (AQ), a town in the centre of Abruzzo just a short distance from renowned destinations such as Gran Sasso, Majella and Sulmona.
Here we will be met by our guide, who will give a short briefing on safety regulations before starting the activity. Afterwards, we will get dressed and then walk to the water entry point.
Onboard the rubber dinghies, we will begin our easy and fun descent on the Sagittario river, famous for its spectacular limestone gorges. Paddling under the guide's instructions, we will face the current that carves a path through the rocks and vegetation, giving us a truly impressive landscape.
The approximately 3.5 km route, with an average water height of 50 centimetres, will be calm enough to allow us to take souvenir photos of the activity.
We will then return by shuttle bus to the meeting place, after 1.5 hours of activity, including 50 minutes in the water.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 7.
Participants must be able to swim and have a maximum weight of 100 kg.
Other information
The activity takes place from June to September, with a minimum number of 2 people .
Each raft can accommodate 5 participants, in addition to the guide.
The activity is conditional on the guide's assessment of whether the river's hydrometric conditions are suitable.
Toilets and changing rooms are available at the meeting point. There is a private car park and a bar kiosk nearby, where any accompanying persons can stay for the duration of the descent.
It is advisable to leave any valuables in the car.
