There is an Island of Elba that you do not discover by walking through the alleyways of the port, but by walking along the ancient streets of granite, where the mountains meet the sea.
And you can experience it starting right in the heart of Portoferraio, sleeping in a cosy B& B in the historic centre. A one-night stay in a Superior double room awaits you, with a sweet and savoury breakfast when you wake up.
And the best part comes when you put on your boots: a trek along the Via del Granito, past historic quarries, Roman columns and views that look like paintings, in the company of an expert guide . Get ready to discover the Elba you don't expect!
What we will do
Check-in is from 12: 00 to 19: 00 at a B& B in the historic centre of Portoferraio (LI), on the Island of Elba.
You will stay in a Superior double room, where you will find a private bathroom with shower, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning/heating, LED TV, kettle, coffee machine with pods, mini bar, soundproof windows and complete linen.
In the afternoon of the day of arrival (or in the morning of the day of departure, in agreement with the guide) you will participate in a trek along the Granite Route in the western part of the island. You will meet your guide at the B& B and together with her you will reach the starting point of the hike in San Piero in Campo, about 45 minutes' drive from Portoferraio.
The excursion will take place exclusively or in a small group and will be about 5 km long with an altitude difference of 150 metres, with stops for naturalistic and historical explanations. You will walk along ancient granite roads, passing Roman remains, historic mines and viewpoints from which to observe the southern coastline and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. The expected duration will be between 3 and 4 hours.
Your stay will also include a sweet and savoury breakfast, served in the common area of the B& B.
Check-out is expected by 10: 00 am.

The property is located in a pedestrian area: it is possible to leave your car in Piazza della Repubblica (100 m) , paid parking with first 20 minutes free of charge. After check-in, the staff will direct you to the nearest free car park (within 800 m) . The hotel is close to the ferry dock. You must use your own car to travel to the trekking starting point.

What happens in case of bad weather?
The experiences included in the stay plus experience packages are subject to weather conditions. If the experience cannot take place due to bad weather or other causes of force majeure, you can choose between a refund for the experience that did not take place or rescheduling the activity for another date (if available). However, the stay cannot be refunded or rescheduled if the terms of the package cancellation policy have already expired.
Can I change the date selected for my stay?
