Did you know that Isola Bella is called the 'Pearl of the Mediterranean'? It's not hard to understand why, especially when you observe it from the sea as the lights of sunset begin to paint the horizon.
Get ready to discover the magic of the Taormina coastline with this 3-hour boat trip from Letojanni: you'll stop at the area's most famous bays and caves and enjoy a delicious aperitif on board.
And, with a bit of luck, you'll spot some dolphins!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Letojanni (ME) . Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us on our excursion to discover the pearls of the Ionian coast.
We will begin our navigation skirting the beaches of Letojanni and Taormina until we reach the splendid Baia delle Sirene. From there we will admire "U Puttichiu", an ancient fishermen's bay, and the famous Scoglio dell'Elefante. We will then continue on to the luxurious Bay of Mazzarò and the famous Isola Bella, where we can stop for a dip in the sea and some snorkelling.
The tour will continue to the Grotta Azzurra, which we will enter, and the Grotta del Corallo, where we will see red coral, before reaching Capo Taormina with its spectacular Faraglioni. Once past the promontory 'Scoglio con la Croce' (Rock with the Cross) , the breathtaking view of Etna dominating the Bay of Giardini Naxos will open up before us. Finally, we will enter the Bay of Villagonia to visit the Grotta del Sole, also known as the Grotta dell'Amore, where the crew will tell us curious anecdotes about its name.
We will end the tour with a second stop for a swim right in front of the old Taormina-Giardini railway station. The staff will set up a buffet aperitif with typical Sicilian products, such as almond pastries, olives and various snacks, accompanied by prosecco, fresh fruit and soft drinks. And after the aperitif, we will move out to sea to admire the lights of the sunset and try to catch a glimpse of some dolphins!
The activity will last a total of 3 hours and will end with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for all without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not accessible for wheelchair users and persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The activity takes place from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 5 participants. The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is a 10-metre boat, equipped with cushions, sundeck, cabin with bathroom, fridge bar, freshwater shower, awning and stereo system. No shoes are worn on board.

Dogs are not allowed on board.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
