An aperitif at the bar? Lovely. An aperitif overlooking Portovenere as the sun sets? Definitely better.
Come aboard and experience the Gulf of Poets from the sea on a boat trip! Amidst islands, coves and views that look too good to be true, all you need to bring is a desire to relax. The sunset will take care of the rest!
What we will do
We’ll meet in La Spezia 10 minutes before the agreed time and board the Giulietta, ready to discover the most picturesque side of the Gulf of Poets.
Once everyone has boarded, we’ll set sail along the coast towards Portovenere. Along the way, we’ll explore the marvellous archipelago of the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, sailing between cliffs plunging sheer into the sea and secluded spots where nature seems to have decided to take a break from the world. We’ll admire the islets from the sea, whilst also discovering some interesting facts about their history – from military bunkers to tunnels and ammunition depots – all testaments to the islands’ strategic role during the Second World War.
We’ll then continue on to the town of Portovenere, one of Liguria’s most charming villages, which offers an even more spectacular view from the water. We’ll have the chance to admire the iconic Church of San Pietro, Doria Castle and the views that have made this place famous throughout the world, with a few stops to take photos and take home a memento of the day.
During the tour, we’ll stop in a quiet bay for a swim in the waters of the Ligurian Sea. We’ll then return on board for the highlight of the day: an aperitif dinner off the coast of Portovenere, accompanied by local specialities and drinks, whilst the sun begins to paint the sky and the sea in spectacular colours.
We’ll round off our experience by returning to La Spezia after a 3½-hour excursion.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for everyone aged 3 and over : children must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchair users or people with severe mobility impairments.
Other information
The activity is available from April to October and is confirmed once a minimum of 3 participants has been reached.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, at the skipper’s discretion.
You’ll be travelling aboard Giulietta, a luxurious 12-metre boat equipped with a toilet, shower, sun deck and shaded area. You must go barefoot on board and dogs are not permitted.
For the aperitif, alternatives are available for those with food allergies or intolerances: please contact the organisers in advance using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email. We cannot guarantee that food will be free from gluten contamination.
Please do not bring coloured beach towels, as these may stain the boat’s cushions when wet with salt water: towels can be hired on board for €5 per person.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport or by car (there are pay-and-display car parks nearby) .

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
