If you think magic only belongs to fairy tales, it means you have never ridden in a hot air balloon.
In Reggio Emilia, the sky becomes your kingdom: a 1-hour flight suspended above the countryside and mountains that are dressed in golden hues at sunset. From the wicker basket you will see the world with new eyes, guided by the wind and by expert pilots who transform a flight into an experience to remember forever.
What we will do
The rendezvous is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Reggio Emilia; time and meeting point are approximate and will be confirmed by the pilot before the experience takes place.
Once at the site, we will have the opportunity to follow the crew during the preparation phases of the hot air balloon, culminating with the large flame coming from the burner, which has the task of heating the air inside the balloon and getting it off the ground.
After take-off, we rely totally on the wind: it is the updrafts that decide the balloon's path. On board the wicker basket, we will admire the landscape at 360°: from the crops of the plains to the Apennines, with the possibility of catching a glimpse of wild animals in the wild from above.
The hot air balloon flight will last about one hour and will end with a landing at a different point from the take-off point. When we descend from the basket, an organiser's vehicle will be waiting for us to take us back to the initial meeting point.
The activity has a total duration of about 3 hours, including transfers, preparation time and the flight.
Who it is aimed at
Hot air ballooning is suitable for everyone, you can fly from 8 years of age and up, and with a minimum height of 120 cm. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
The only restrictions are for pregnant women and people with serious heart problems or limited mobility in their lower limbs.

Important! Time and meeting point are approximate and will be confirmed to you by the pilot by e-mail usually 3 to 4 days before the experience, after checking the weather. Remember to check your inbox and, if you do not receive a message from the pilot, contact him/her at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.
The activity takes place on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed when there are at least 6 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
