There are those who wait for the sunset from the sofa... and those who wait for it with snowshoes on their feet, in the snow of the Maiella.
Join us for a hike at sunset: 5 km through beech woods, muffled silence and the remains of an agro-pastoral landscape that seems to have come out of another era. You will be guided by a certified mountain guide, who will make the walk safe and fascinating from start to finish.
And after 3 hours of walking in the magic of the mountains at sunset, you can end the evening with a warm and well-deserved dinner at Passo Lanciano.
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking at Passo Lanciano (CH), in the Abruzzo Apennines. After meeting the Alpine Guide and the rest of the group, we will be given snowshoes (included in the participation fee).
Afterwards, we will have a short briefing about the activity, and at 17:15 we will set off on our snowshoe hike in the Maiella National Park. Together with the guide, we will walk on fresh snow along a 5 km route through beech forests and ancient remnants of the Abruzzo agro-pastoral landscape.
We will walk in tranquillity in high hilly and mountainous areas, on well-maintained and signposted paths with short steep uphill and downhill sections and gradients of less than 500 metres. On the way, we will stop at the most scenic spots to admire the beautiful mountain scenery in the colours of the sunset.
The return to Passo Lanciano is scheduled for 20:15. At the end of the excursion, we will have the opportunity to dine at the Ti' Bionda Suisse restaurant at a reduced price (dinner is not included in the fee).
The activity has a total duration of approximately 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 8. Only familiarity with the mountain environment and physical fitness for walking are required.
Other information
This activity can be carried out on Fridays from December to February, subject to snow and weather conditions, and is confirmed when there are at least five participants.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
