Full description
Set off on a snowshoe hike on the paths of the Simbruini Mountains and let yourself be enveloped in the magical atmosphere of the snow, which is even more evocative at sunset.
You will walk among beech forests and snow-covered slopes, with the lights of sunset reflecting on the snow and making the landscape unique and exciting.
Set off on a 6 km route that will take you to the top of Monte Autore, where you can admire a breathtaking panorama!
What we will do
The appointment is at the Monte Livata park in Subiaco (RM). Once the group is formed, the guide will hand out snowshoes and poles and give a briefing on the itinerary and safety rules. Immediately afterwards, snowshoes on our feet, we will set out on the excursion route.
We will enter a beautiful beech forest and see the sun's rays penetrating the trees and reflecting on the snow, making theatmosphere particularly atmospheric. We will be surrounded by nature, peace and silence and the only noise we will hear will be that of our footsteps on the fresh snow.
At a leisurely and relaxed pace, we will walk about 6 km and 260 metres in altitude until we reach the summit of Monte Autore, at an altitude of over 1,800 metres. Here, we will stop to admire a fantastic 360-degree panorama of the surrounding hills and then begin our descent back to the starting point.
In total, the activity will last about four hours.

This activity is at an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 12 years old and up.

This activity can be carried out on weekends during the winter season and is confirmed once 9 participants are reached.
Groups of at least 9 persons may also request to carry out the activity on weekdays.
