Full description
Discover the beauty of Ischia's nature with this emotional trekking route at sunset.
You will walk with your companions along a circular route of about 4 km to Mount Epomeo, the highest point on the island, from which you will enjoy a wonderful panorama.
You will completely forget about anxieties and worries because your guide will accompany you on a true immersion in nature. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet with the guide in Fontana, a hamlet of the municipality of Serrara-Fontana in Ischia. After introductions and a quick briefing on the route, we will set off on our hike.
We will start walking along a flat stretch and then tackle the ascent of Via Pendio Oscuro. This is a gorge that leads us to the Pietra dell'Acqua area, from where we can admire the ancient terracing and water cisterns carved into the rock.
We will then reach the highest point on the island, Mount Epomeo, from which we can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Ischia. The landscape is truly breathtaking with Vesuvius, Naples and the Pontine Islands in the background. This moment will be made even more magical by the sunset. We will find ourselves on the highest point of the island just as the sun sets and the city lights come on.
Along the way, the guide will help us to completely immerse ourselves in the surrounding nature with breathing exercises, which will help us to completely disconnect from our hectic daily routine.
From here, we will also use torches and/or headlamps to better orient ourselves. We will then continue on our way and reach the meeting point via a short path that connects theHermitage of San Nicola with the roadway back to the starting point. The route is approximately 4 km long with a maximum altitude difference of 250 metres.
The activity lasts approximately 3 ½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to all, with no age limit. Children under 3 years of age do not pay.
