Departing from Syracuse with a SUP instructor, you'll paddle 2.5 km, stopping occasionally to admire the area's natural beauty and monuments such as the statue of Archimedes and Maniace Castle.
It will be 2 hours dedicated to exploration during which you will admire enchanting landscapes and get in tune with nature!
What we will do
We will meet at the Sbarcadero beach in Syracuse, where our SUP instructor will be waiting for us. Together we will have a short briefing of about 15 minutes, during which we will be explained how to paddle correctly. We will then get on the SUP board and begin our experience.
We will paddle together with the instructor and our fellow adventurers to the Umbertino bridge that connects Syracuse to the beautiful island of Ortigia and pause for a few minutes in front of the statue dedicated to Archimedes, the well-known mathematician and inventor who was born in the area. Once past, we will head towards the Maniace Castle and, immediately afterwards, make a short stop to admire the crystal-clear waters of the Arethusa spring.
During the experience, more or less halfway along the route, we will also stop at a small beach for about 15 minutes that we can use as we please, relaxing in the sun or cooling off with a swim.
We will paddle for about 2.5 km. The experience, including briefing, will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 10 . Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate subject to signing a waiver from a responsible adult.
Swimming skills and good health are required for the experience. Pregnant women cannot participate in the activity.
Other information
The activity takes place daily from May to September and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
It is possible to request a life jacket on site; no waterproof bags are available at the facility.
The route may vary depending on weather conditions.
