If you are a Stand Up Paddle fan, you cannot miss out on an opportunity that is more unique than rare.
Join a SUP excursion that will take you from Nardò to Porto Selvaggio in 3 hours and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Salento.
Visit the Grotta Verde and Grotta Azzurra and experience an epic adventure!
What we will do
The appointment is at the time set during the booking process at the meeting point in the locality of Santa Caterina in the municipality of Nardò (LE). After introductions and the handover of equipment, we will paddle into the Porto Selvaggio nature reserve!
After a few paddles, a snorkelling instructor will dive with us to accompany us in search of the marine species that inhabit these waters, such as the wrasse, damselfish, bream, mullet, and many others.
After this first stop, the second will take us to Porto Selvaggio to visit different caves and natural inlets. We will enter the Grotta Verde (Green Cave) and Grotta Azzurra (Blue Cave) on SUP, inside which we will make our entrance lying on a board. It will be a truly unusual and memorable experience!
After leaving the Blue Grotto, we will move on to Baia Porto Selvaggio for some well-deserved rest, where we will stop for about half an hour.
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last about three hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at those who already have some SUP experience. It is essential to be able to swim and be able to stand upright and balance on the SUP board.
The minimum age for participation is 16. Minors require parental permission.
Other information
The activity is available from May to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.
Theitinerary may vary according to weather and sea conditions at the organiser's discretion.
The organiser does not provide the snorkelling kit. If you want to participate in the snorkelling session together with the instructor, we recommend that you bring your own snorkelling kit.
The meeting place can be easily reached by bus.
