Leave the comforts of everyday life behind for a day and immerse yourself in nature for a fun and educational experience: with a day of survival and bushcraft, you’ll learn how to cope in any situation!
The instructors will teach you how to light a fire using traditional methods, make basic tools, set up a shelter, identify edible plants and much more.
It’ll be a real return to basics amidst the stunning scenery of the Upper Garda area and the Sarca Valley!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before 8. 30 am at the base camp in Arco (TN). Just enough time for introductions and a brief introductory briefing, and then we’ll get straight into the course.
The day’s activities will include lighting a fire using primitive methods, making basic tools and an emergency shelter, purifying water and identifying edible plants.
In addition, the instructors will cover the basics of first aid, teach us how to navigate using a compass and natural landmarks, and explain how to pack the perfect rucksack for hikes, ensuring we have everything we need to be prepared in case of an emergency.
The course will end at around 4. 00 pm with the presentation of certificates of attendance. The total duration will be approximately 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level, no previous experience is required and you can participate from 8 years old and up.
Other information
The activity takes place from February to October on the dates indicated in the calendar (continually updated) and will be confirmed when there are at least 4 participants, weather permitting.
A list of the necessary equipment will be provided to you by the organiser after booking. If you do not have them, you can buy them or rent them from the school by requesting them in advance.
The programme may vary depending on the season.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
