Full description

Have you ever been lost in a forest? Spoiler: you are about to (but learning how to find your way back) !

In this one-day survival course in the Monti Sibillini National Park you will learn how to read nature as if it were your own map, how to build a shelter, how to light a fire and how to find your way like a real explorer.

Experience this in a group, under the supervision of a team of bushcraft and survival instructors. Spoiler: there's also a final barbecue!

What we will do

The meeting point is at 9 a. m. in the surroundings of Amandola (FM) , in the Monti Sibillini National Park. The exact meeting point will be communicated by the instructors, also depending on the weather conditions.

Once the group is formed, we will take some time to get to know each other and to do an introductory briefing, which will last about an hour. We will then move together to the forest area where our survival experience will begin.

The instructors will teach us some basic skills: we will learn how to orient ourselves with map and compass, how to read the terrain and how to build a shelter using only what nature offers. We will practise knots, fire starting techniques, water purification and basic self-rescue.

In the middle of the day we will take a short break for a picnic lunch, then resume our activities. Divided into small teams, we will also face a mini orienteering mission: a bushcraft navigation to reach a pre-determined goal in the wilderness.

At the end of the experience, around 18: 00, we will have a debriefing to resolve any doubts and questions. But the day will not end there, because around the campfire we will have a concluding barbecue (included) , which will continue until around 20: 00.

The total duration of the activity will be about 11 hours, including the final barbecue.
