Full description

A weekend to rediscover what you are capable of. No comforts, just nature.

With this survival course in the Ticino Park you will learn how to get by with the essentials: lighting a fire, setting up camp, cooking outdoors, finding your way around the trails and even following animal tracks on a night safari.

You'll sleep in a tent under the stars, learn to trust your instincts, and discover resources you didn't even think you had.

What we will do

We will meet at 9. 30 a. m. in Motta Visconti, at the entrance to one of the most authentic corners of the Ticino Park. From there, a few minutes' walk will take us to our base of operations: an isolated clearing where we will set up camp together.

The first day will begin with an exploratory trek of about one hour through paths immersed in vegetation, to familiarise ourselves with the environment and train our senses. Once back, the real survival activities will begin: advanced camp building, primitive fire-starting techniques, camp knots, and resource management.

At lunch, we will prepare a trapper-style meal together, adapted to everyone's dietary needs, using camp cooking techniques. The afternoon will be dedicated to the more introspective part: along the river we will practise guided meditation and visualisation techniques, to face blocks, fears and (re) discover our abilities.

In the late afternoon we will try our hand at activities such as archery, knife throwing or blowpipe, balance and cooperation exercises, and - if conditions allow - activities on the water.

Dinner will be prepared together around the campfire, using ropes and equipment to learn to manage life on our own. After sunset, we will set off on an exciting night safari, equipped with torches and visors, in search of wild animals.

The second day will begin with a shared breakfast. We will dismantle the base camp and take stock of what we have learned. It will be an opportunity to learn, but also to get in touch with a part of us that we perhaps didn't even know we had.

The experience will end in the morning with the return to the starting point.
