Survival is not the stuff of Rambo: it is a game of teamwork and ingenuity, even (especially) when your nose is dripping with cold.
With the Winter Survival Experience in Valsesia, you will learn how to get by without comfort, build shelters and build a fire with the few natural elements available.
Together with a dedicated instructor , you will become a master in camp knots, trapper's cooking and much more. Survivalist for a day!
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before 9: 30 a. m. at the meeting point in Alto Sermenza (VC), in the heart of Upper Valsesia. Here we will meet our survival instructor and start the day with a short introductory briefing: we will get to know each other, share goals and expectations about the experience.
From there, we will walk about 30-40 minutes to our base of operations: a secluded spot in nature and close to a stream, where we will set up camp together. We will then test our first survival techniques: lighting fires, building shelters, tying camp knots and using equipment.
At lunch we will experiment with outdoor trapper cooking techniques, with genuine products brought by our instructor. In the afternoon we will try to unlock other skills: we will try our hand at bow, knife and blowpipe, practise sensory orientation and learn to work together in a group.
There will also be space for the mind: along the stream we will practise relaxation techniques and guided visualisation to awaken our awareness in nature. The day will end at around 16: 30 with a final debriefing and return to the starting point.
The total duration will be 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 8 years and above. For minors, if unaccompanied, a signed parental authorisation is required.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first survival course. To participate in the activity, it is sufficient to be in good health and have no physical impediments.

The experience is bookable from September to March.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport; there is free parking on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
