Full description
Is trekking your passion? This survival course is designed just for you!
Adventure in the company of a survival instructor and a specialised guide in the natural setting of Monte Tancia. You will walk for about 1 hour in the scenery of the Laziale Sub-Apennines while learning basic survival techniques in emergency situations, which may come in handy during a hike.
A4-hour experience, including a packed lunch break to recharge your batteries before your next step!
What we will do
The meeting point is 10 minutes before 09:00 at the meeting point in Monte San Giovanni in Sabina (RI). To welcome us, we will find themaster survival instructor and the guide specialised in agricultural sciences who will accompany us on this adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, at 09:30 we will set off along a hiking path once trodden by merchants and shepherds moving from the Reatina valley and the Sabina Tiberina, in whom we will be able to identify ourselves.
We will walk for about one hour in the natural setting of Mount Tancia, a peak of the Laziale Sub-Apennine chain, at an altitude of 800 metres with an altitude difference of +90 metres. In the meantime, a real trekking survival course will take place, during which the instructor will teach us how to cope in emergency situations that might occur during an excursion: we will learn techniques for finding our bearings, making a makeshift rucksack, setting up camp and building a shelter. In addition, our guide will teach us how to recognise wild plants in a setting inhabited by spruce and black pine.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point at around 13:00 to enjoy our packed lunch (included): 2 sandwiches, drink and coffee. The experience will last a total of 4 hours.
