Enjoy a fantastic panorama over Lake Maggiore with a hang-gliding flight at Laveno-Mombello and experience the sensation of floating free in the sky.
Flying in tandem with an experienced pilot, you will carry out the activity in total safety and all you have to do is let yourself go to the ascending currents of the wind, which will take you on a unique journey.
Equipped with a simple sail and a lightweight aluminium structure, hang gliding is the closest thing to bird flight, in a natural way and with zero impact on the environment. You can't wait to try it, can you?
What we will do
The meeting point for the activity is in Laveno-Mombello, a town overlooking Lake Maggiore in the province of Varese. There you will meet the pilot and together you will reach the take-off point located on high ground.
Once there, you will have a detailed briefing on the principles of hang gliding and the rules of behaviour for flying in comfort and safety. After that, equipped with helmet and harness and firmly attached to the pilot, you will be ready to take off.
Just follow the pilot's simple instructions, a few running steps, and you will immediately find yourself suspended in the air and flying supported by the updrafts. For about 5-10 minutes (depending on wind conditions) you will fly over a magnificent scenic location, with a view of Lake Maggiore and the Varese foothills of the Alps.
If the weather conditions are particularly favourable, you can also take the controls of the hang-glider and try your hand at flying, always under the watchful eye of the pilot!
The flight will end with a soft landing near the initial meeting point. The activity will last a total of about 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Tandem hang gliding is an activity within the reach of everyone, from 14 years of age upwards and weighing no more than 100 kg. All you need is to be in good health and able to make a short run.

This activity is available from May to the beginning of November. The flight duration is indicative: it may vary slightly depending on weather conditions. In unfavourable conditions, especially in autumn and winter, the flight may be shorter; in optimal conditions, however, it may be extended by a few minutes at no extra cost. "
Hang gliding is an activity that is closely linked to weather and wind conditions. The day before the planned date, the pilot will confirm the possibility of the experience and the actual time after consulting the latest weather report the previous evening (not before 18: 00) .
Take-off transport is always guaranteed. Depending on the time of year, either the shuttle or the cable car may be used, the cost of which is borne by the participants (to be paid on site) .

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
