Enjoy a fantastic panorama over Lake Maggiore with a hang-gliding flight at Laveno-Mombello and experience the sensation of floating free in the sky.
Flying in tandem with an experienced pilot, you will carry out the activity in total safety and all you have to do is let yourself go to the ascending currents of the wind, which will take you on a unique journey.
Equipped with a simple sail and a lightweight aluminium structure, hang gliding is the closest thing to bird flight, in a natural way and with zero impact on the environment. You can't wait to try it, can you?
What we will do
The meeting point for the activity is in Laveno-Mombello, a town overlooking Lake Maggiore in the province of Varese. There you will meet the pilot and together you will reach the take-off point located on high ground.
Once there, you will have a detailed briefing on the principles of hang gliding and the rules of behaviour for flying in comfort and safety. After that, equipped with helmet and harness and firmly attached to the pilot, you will be ready to take off.
Just follow the pilot's simple instructions, a few running steps, and you will immediately find yourself suspended in the air and flying supported by the updrafts. For about 20 minutes you will fly over a magnificent scenic location with a view of Lake Maggiore and the Varese foothills of the Alps.
If the weather conditions are particularly favourable, you can also take the controls of the hang-glider and try your hand at flying, always under the watchful eye of the pilot!
The flight will end with a soft landing near the initial meeting point. The activity will last a total of about 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
Tandem hang gliding is an activity within the reach of everyone, from 14 years of age upwards and weighing no more than 90 kg. All you need is to be in good health and able to make a short run.

This activity can be performed every day of the year, weather permitting.
Hang gliding is an activity closely linked to weather and wind conditions. The day before the planned date, the pilot will confirm the possibility of the experience after consulting the latest weather report the previous evening (not before 18:00).
Take-off transport is always guaranteed. Depending on the time of year, either the shuttle or the cable car may be used, the cost of which is €9 to be paid for by the participants (payable locally).
At the end of the flight, it is possible to linger at the refreshment point near the landing site. In addition, it is possible to request from €20 the HD video of the experience (not included and to be paid on site), which will be sent to you later by the pilot.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
