Flying in the province of Turin? You can!
Take part in a two-seater hang-gliding flight in Borgofranco d'Ivrea: in the company of a professional pilot, you will fly for about 20 minutes over the Serra d'Ivrea landscape, spotting the main natural attractions of the Aosta Valley and upper Piedmont.
An experience lasting a total of one and a half hours, of which you will always remember the thrill of take-off and the satisfaction of landing.
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Borgofranco d'Ivrea (TO). You will be welcomed by the pilot with whom you will share this hang-gliding experience!
Together, you will reach the take-off point at an altitude of 1,200 metres using the available transfer service (not included). Once at your destination, the preparation for the flight will take place: the pilot will provide you with all the information you need for a carefree experience and hand over thecomplete equipment.
A short run-up to take-off and, firmly secured to the pilot, you will take off! You will experience the unique thrill of flying for about 20 minutes above the Serra d'Ivrea, a vast relief born millions of years ago, which from up there will seem to be drawn with a ruler due to its particular shape. Depending on the day's updrafts, you will admire Lake Nero and Montalto Dora Castle or the Alpine chain. On particularly clear days, it will also be possible to fly over Mombarone, spotting Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and the Gressoney valley on the horizon.
When it is safe to do so, the pilot will let you try to fly the hang glider , teaching you the basic manoeuvres. And if the weather conditions do not permit, you can continue to enjoy the panoramic flight above this splendid natural setting between the Aosta Valley and Piedmont.
You will finally land at the meeting point. The flight will last about 20 minutes, the total experience will last about 1½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 14.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate in this activity.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first time hang-glider; you only need to be able to do a short run to participate.
Other information
Caution! Hang gliding is an activity strictly dependent on weather conditions. The pilot will confirm the possibility of the experience the evening before the booked date, no earlier than 18:00 hours.
The experience is available all year round and will be confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
The package does not include the transfer to the take-off point, which can be reached by shuttle bus or cable car, depending on the time of the experience. The service has an obligatory cost of €9.00 per person to be paid on site.
Any accompanying persons may wait at the landing point. Only one accompanying person may follow the participant, paying on site the cost of the transfer to the take-off point.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
