Tandem paragliding flight over the Belluno Dolomites

Do you feel that urge to drop everything and fly away, too?

In Alpago, all you need is a tandem paraglider, a touch of determination and a bit of help from the wind. Take-off is at an altitude of 1, 500 metres: a short run-up and, almost before you know it, you’ll have left the ground behind, flying tandem with a professional pilot.

A 20-minute flight to leave the daily grind behind and feast your eyes on the beauty of Lake Santa Croce and the Belluno Dolomites. There’ll be plenty of time to come back down to earth later.

What we will do

The meeting is at the selected time at the meeting point in Alpago (BL), where you will meet the pilot. Together with the pilot, you’ll travel to the take-off point at an altitude of around 1, 500 metres in about 20 minutes, either in your own car or in one of the organisation’s vehicles (optional shuttle) , as agreed with the pilot.

Once there, it will be time to get ready for the flight. You’ll put on the equipment provided and take part in a briefing during which the pilot will explain everything you need to know to take off, fly and land safely.

Then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for: a few steps across the grass and you’ll be in the air!

Flying in tandem with the pilot, you’ll soar for around 20 minutes, making the most of the air currents that characterise the basin of Lake Santa Croce. During the flight, you can relax and admire the lake,the Alpago and the peaks of the Belluno Dolomites as they unfold before you from a unique vantage point.

Finally, you’ll come back down to earth with a gentle landing on the grass. At the end of the flight, you can also get a video of the experience, so you can relive the thrill whenever you like.

The experience will last approximately one and a half hours in total, including travel, preparation and the flight itself.

Who it is aimed at

A tandem paragliding flight is an experience open to everyone. You simply need to be in good health, have no heart or cardiovascular conditions, and be able to run a short distance at take-off.

To take part, you must weigh between 30 and 115 kg. Minors may take part with the consent of a parent or a responsible adult.

The experience is also accessible to people with mobility impairments thanks to a special paragliding trolley. To ensure the flight is organised as smoothly as possible, we recommend that you contact the organiser after booking using the contact details provided in the confirmation email.

Other information

Important: paragliding is an activity that is heavily dependent on weather conditions. The pilot will contact you 2 or 3 days before the scheduled date of the activity to confirm the exact time and whether the flight can go ahead.

This activity is available all year round.

With at least 3 days’ notice, it is possible to organise simultaneous flights for up to 4 people, subject to pilot availability.

On request and for an additional charge, you can purchase videos and photos of the experience taken by the pilot using a GoPro (€20 without video editing and €30 with video editing) .
