Full description

Did you know that Brunello di Montalcino was the first wine to receive DOCG status in 1980?

The "prince of Tuscan wines" is ready to reveal all its secrets to you with a tasting of 6 vintages of Brunello, from the 1990s to today, and Vin Santo "Occhio di Pernice" at the Tenute Silvio Nardi winery.

If you wish, you can combine the tasting with a light lunch based on Tuscan products (optional), to crown this experience!

What we will do

The appointment is at Tenute Silvio Nardi in Montalcino (SI), 5 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.

On your arrival, the winery staff will welcome you and introduce you to the history and philosophy of Tenute Silvio Nardi, one of the 17 companies that founded the Consorzio del Vino Brunello in 1967.

During the guided tour , you will be able to fully immerse yourself in the production of this renowned wine, first walking through the vineyards surrounding the estate and then admiring the ageing cellars.

After the visit, which will last about 40 minutes, you can sit in an indoor or outdoor room to begin the tasting. You will taste 6 vintages of Brunello di Montalcino, from the present day to the 1990s, to appreciate the unique characteristics of each vintage. Closing the tasting will be a glass of Vin Santo 'Occhio di Pernice', a worthy conclusion to any Tuscan meal.

Speaking of meals, when booking, you can add to the tasting a light lunch based on typical products such as an appetiser of cold meats and cheeses, pici al ragù and a slice of tart (optional, €30 extra per person).

The experience will last approximately 2 hours.

The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Minors or any adults not tasting wine may participate free of charge (except in the light lunch option where they pay €30).

The wine cellar is not accessible by wheelchair or pushchair.
