Full description
Ever tasted caviar? Not on a silver spoon, but where it is born: in a freshwater tank, in the expert hands of those who produce it with passion.
In the heart of the Mincio Park, in the province of Mantua, an unconventional experience awaits you: a guided tour of a (Cru) fish farm and - yes, you read that right - entry into an exclusive tank with three different species of sturgeon.
And to conclude? A guided tasting of caviar, including His Majesty the Beluga, the rarest and finest in the world.
What we will do
The meeting point is in Goito, in the Mincio Park. On arrival, the staff will welcome us in the farmyard, where we will be told the history of the company and the philosophy behind the production of one of the finest caviars in Europe.
After the introduction, we will walk down to the farm: it only takes three minutes to find ourselves completely immersed in nature, surrounded by white storks and reeds.
We will get to know the different species of sturgeon up close: we will observe them swimming in the tanks, discovering their habits, origins and differences. Then we will approach the most engaging part of the activity: the tactile pool. Here we will literally enter the water - with dungarees, gloves and boots provided on site - to touch three different species of sturgeon.
We then return to the tasting room for the grand finale: a guided tasting of three types of caviar (Royal, Imperial and Beluga), accompanied by smoked white sturgeon, smoked Beluga sturgeon, flavoured butters, artisanal crackers, water, wine and coffee.
While we taste, the guide will explain the production processes, helping us to distinguish the characteristics of each product.
Between the welcome, visit to the Cru and tasting, the experience lasts a total of about 2 hours.
