Full description
The blonde impresses, the redhead ravishes, but the weiss. .. . well, that one really impresses!
Incredible but true, this time you can have a taste of all three: all you have to do is book this tasting of beers from the Birrificio Agricolo Pagus, in an area straddling Lake Iseo and Valcamonica, where the raw materials that give life to a farm beer that will leave you speechless are cultivated with love.
What we will do
The event starts at 5. 00 pm at the Pagus Agricultural Brewery, situated in Darfo, a hamlet of Boario Terme (BS). Here we will meet our guide, who will show us into the tasting room, known as the Pagus Area.
The experience will begin with an introductory talk, during which we’ll learn how genuine farm-brewed beer is produced, with a focus on the raw materials grown in the fields owned by the farm itself.
We’ll get to know barley up close through a sensory workshop involving the discovery of three types of malt ( plain, roasted and caramelised) , after which we’ll move on to an in-depth look at hops.
Then it will be time for the tasting itself : we’ll sample three different types of beer ( which vary according to the season) , including, for example, weissbier – the quintessential farmhouse beer – produced entirely from the farm’s own home-grown ingredients. To accompany the beers, we’ll be offered a small platter with samples of locally sourced salami and cheese from local producers.
The experience will last approximately one hour in total .
