A walk works up an appetite. But Cantine Olivella’s tasting menu is no joke either.
At this historic winery on the slopes of Vesuvius, you can enjoy a walk through the ungrafted vineyards followed by a three-course lunch paired with five glasses of wine.

What we will do
Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time at Cantine Olivella in Sant'Anastasia (NA), a historic winery situated on the slopes of Vesuvius.
The experience will begin with a guided walk through the winery’s own vineyards , which lie right at the heart of the Vesuvius National Park. Here we’ll be able to admire the beauty of the organic, ungrafted vineyards, where native grape varieties such as Catalanesca, Caprettone and Piedirosso are grown with respect for the land through natural techniques such as green manuring.
Once the walk is over, we’ll take our seats in the tasting room, which features an open-plan kitchen and a sweeping panoramic view of Mount Somma, where we’ll be served our lunch.
The tasting menu, curated by the resident chef, includes: a tasting of Cantine Olivella extra virgin olive oil accompanied by sourdough bread, a seasonal Vesuvian starter, a first course of spaghetti or broken candele pasta with Piennolo del Vesuvio PDO cherry tomatoes, and finally a dessert featuring our own Pellecchiella del Vesuvio apricot jam. To accompany the courses, we will taste five glasses of wine:

- Emblema “Vesuvio Caprettone DOP”
- Katà “Catalanesca del Monte Somma IGP”
- Lacrimabianco “Lacryma Christi Vesuvio Bianco DOP”
- Lacrimanero “Lacryma Christi Vesuvio Rosso DOP”
The experience will last approximately two and a half hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
This experience is recommended for those aged 18 and over, as the wine tasting is restricted to adults only. Any accompanying minors aged between 7 and 17 may take part in the experience at a reduced rate, whilst children aged 6 and under may participate free of charge.
The venue is not accessible to people with mobility issues or pushchairs.

Dogs are not permitted at any stage of the activity.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
