There are tastings. And then there are tastings, with a capital 'D'!

If you think wine is just fermented grape juice, get ready to change your mind: at the Luteraia winery, the vines are sprayed with honey at night following the moon and the wine rests with amethyst crystals to tune in. .. with your soul!

Take part in this sensory wine tasting with winery visit in Montepulciano, in the province of Siena. A 1. 5-hour food and wine experience based on the 'Indigo Philosophy', where you will taste labels energised with precious stones and experience an amphoteric wine that changes flavour depending on who is tasting it!

What we will do

The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the Luteraia winery in Montepulciano (SI) . We will be welcomed by our guide, who will take us on a discovery of the winery's philosophy, which bases its origins on the legend of the continent of Lemuria, which disappeared 36, 000 years ago and is said to be the first vine fermented in quartz barrels.

We will begin with a tour of the holistic vineyard, where we will discover the historiography of the three family vineyards. Here, the grapes are harvested strictly by hand and the rows are treated with a synergistic compost and a natural biostimulant based on honey, propolis, seaweed and essential oils, sprayed exclusively at night following the days of the biodynamic calendar.

We will then descend into the heart of the cellar for a guided tour, where we will be able to admire the precious crystals used for vinification and have the exclusive opportunity to taste the wines directly from the barrels.

We will then return to the family home, sitting in the gazebo in the garden or inside the farmhouse, depending on the season. The tasting will include 4 glasses of wines energised with different crystals, each with different properties, served with Tuscan snacks and delicacies.

The last tasting will be reserved for Lemuria, the amphoteric indigo wine. We will pair it with unusual ingredients such as fruit, meat, fish, chocolate and even lemon with coffee powder. Finally, we will ask the wine to adapt to us before exchanging glasses: to our great surprise, we will discover that each participant's wine will have taken on a totally different flavour and aroma, reflecting the uniqueness of each one.

The experience will last about 1½ hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over, as wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Participants under the age of 14 participate free of charge if accompanied by an adult.

Due to the structural characteristics of the winery and the farmland, the activity is not accessible by wheelchair and pushchair.

Other information

The activity can be booked throughout the year and is confirmed once a quota of 2 participants has been reached. The estate has free parking on site. The facility is not easily accessible by public transport; the use of your own vehicle or a taxi from the Chiusi or Chianciano Terme railway stations is recommended.

Four-legged friends are welcome and are only allowed inside the tasting area, while they are not allowed in the indoor production area for health and hygiene reasons.
