All roads lead to Rome, but the Via Appia even takes you to Apollosa!
In this small village in the Caudina Valley, lies Cantina Francesca, a place where grapes have been transformed into pure liquid poetry since the last century. Between a family tale and a glimpse of the Taburno massif, a guided tour through the organic vineyards and cellar awaits you, to experience where the magic is born.
An experience of about 1½ hours in which you will taste 3 glasses of wine according to your tastes, accompanied by a mouth-watering platter of typical Sannio products!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at Cantina Francesca in Apollosa (BN), in the splendid setting of the Valle Caudina on the slopes of Monte Taburno. We will be welcomed by a guide who will immediately take us to the heart of the estate.
We will begin with a walk through the estate's organic vineyards, spread over around 10 hectares. Here we will be explained the agronomic practices with an eye to sustainability and the history of historical vines such as Coda di Volpe, Falanghina and Camaiola. We will then continue the visit inside the winery, entering into the heart of production to observe the machinery and tanks used for vinification.
Once the tour is over, we will move on to the tastiest phase. We will sit in the tasting room or, weather permitting, on the beautiful outdoor terrace. Here we will taste 3 glasses of wine chosen from the company's 6 labels (such as Aglianico del Taburno DOCG or Falanghina 'La Prima') according to our personal preferences.
In order not to be left with an empty stomach, the wines will be paired with a rich platter of local products such as ham, mature and fresh cheeses, bread and the classic taralli.
The experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 year olds and above. Wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age persons may participate in the experience free of charge if they do not consume, or by paying on site according to what they eat.
The facility is accessible to persons with mobility problems and wheelchairs.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
