Full description

Forget civilisation, comfort, technology and the comforts of home. Prepare for a full immersion in nature that will test your physical and mental capabilities. Face emergency situations by relying only on your surroundings.

If you are ready for all this, then you can try your hand at this 3-day survival course in the Sarca river valley in theAlto Garda region: an adventure reserved for the truly daring!

This is an itinerant survival course, which will take you to rugged and unspoilt natural locations, where you will have to provide for your livelihood by relying on ingenuity, courage, group unity and survival techniques that will be taught to you by expert instructors.

During the course, you will be faced with time and skill tests and, mind you, you will have to do your best to pass them and satisfy the strict eye of the instructors. At the end, only if you have earned it with commitment and sweat will you receive the Certificate of Survival Instructor - F.I.Bu.S.

Think you're up to it? Come and prove it!

What we will do

We will meet in the morning, shortly before 08:00, at base camp in Arco (TN). We will meet the instructors who will accompany us on the adventure and, after a briefing presenting the activities, we will get straight into the heart of the course.

The programme will be very dynamic and will depend on the time of year and the circumstances of the moment. In any case, advanced survival techniques and methods will be taught, suitable for those who already have at least one previous survival experience.

The first night you will sleep in a tent at base camp, while on the second day you will move into the woods and build a shelter for the night. This will be one of the most important assessment tests, as you will work in complete autonomy following the dictates of the instructors.

There will be some canoeing on the Sarca river, orientation will be by compass and any technological aids will be absolutely forbidden. Not even water will be available, except for that available at base camp and a ½ litre water bottle per day.

Techniques taught during the course includelighting fires using primitive methods, making tools, recognising edible plants and much more. Only the equipment covered in the '10 Cs' of survival will be used and, of course, there will be no bathrooms! You will have to adapt to nature and use only biodegradable paper or wipes to be placed in a plastic bag... and not abandoned in the environment!

The course is aimed at obtaining the Certificate of Survival Instructor - F.I.Bu.S. The teachers will assess the behaviour and skills of the participants during the three days of activities, subjecting them to a final timed test, where they will work first alone and then in teams.

In the event that a participant is unable to perform a task or has physical problems, the team and instructors will urge him/her not to give up, doing everything possible so that he/she can complete the course to the best of his/her ability, in full survival spirit. Dropping out is a last resort, to which they will try never to arrive, but if conditions provide no alternative, there will be that option.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of a difficult level. A great spirit of adaptation and at least one previous, certified survival experience is required. Participation is possible from the age of 18.
