Forget civilisation, comfort, technology and the comforts of home. Get ready for a full immersion in nature that will test your physical and mental abilities and face emergency situations relying only on your surroundings.
If you are ready for all this, then try your hand at this 3-day survival course in the Sarca river valley in theUpper Garda region: an adventure reserved for the truly daring!
During the course you will have to face time and skill tests under the eye of experienced instructors. At the end, only if you have earned it with commitment and sweat will you receive the Certificate of Survival Instructor - F.I.Bu.S. Do you think you are up to it?
What we will do
We will meet 15 minutes before 14:00 at the base camp in Arco (TN). We will meet the instructors who will accompany us on the adventure and, after a briefing to present the activities, we will get straight into the heart of the course.
The programme will be very dynamic and will depend on the time of year and the circumstances of the moment. In any case, advanced survival techniques and methods will be taught, suitable for those who already have at least some previous survival experience.
The first night we will sleep in tents at base camp, while on the second day we will move into the woods and build a shelter for the night. This will be one of the most important assessment tests, as we will work in complete autonomy following the instructions of the instructors.
We will travel by canoe on the Sarca river, and we will orient ourselves with a compass and without any technological aids. Among the techniques taught during the course will belighting fires using primitive methods, constructing tools, recognising edible plants, and much more. We will only be able to use the equipment covered in the '10 Cs' of survival and, of course, there will be no bathrooms!
The course is aimed at obtaining the Certificate of Survival Instructor - F.I.Bu.S. The teachers will assess the behaviour and skills of the participants during the three days of activities, subjecting them to a final timed test, where they will work first alone and then in teams.
If a participant has difficulty with any activity or encounters physical obstacles, the group and instructors will be ready to support them to help them continue as best they can. The aim is for everyone to complete the course, but in extreme cases it will be possible to interrupt the experience.
The planned duration of the course is 3 days.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of a difficult level. A great spirit of adaptation and at least one previous, certified survival experience is required. Participation is possible from the age of 18.

The detailed list of equipment included in the '10 Cs' of survival will be provided to you by the organiser after booking. If you do not have them, you can buy them or hire them from the school by requesting them in advance.
Food supplies are the responsibility of the participants. You are allowed to bring the bare essentials for survival: the contents of your rucksack will be examined and no travel coolers will be allowed.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
