Am I dreaming or am I awake? A bamboo forest in Tuscany?
It’s all true! Join our guided tour of the bamboo grove and tasting session: you’ll walk amongst bamboo stalks up to 18 metres tall and sample bamboo-based products such as bamboo shoots in oil, jams and other surprising creations.
An experience lasting over an hour, with an oriental flavour!
What we will do
Please arrive 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Pitigliano (GR). Once there, we’ll meet the guide who’ll be taking us on this adventure!
The experience will begin with a visit to the bamboo grove, one of the very few edible bamboo groves in Italy open to the public: accompanied by the farmer, we’ll walk amongst bamboo stalks up to 18 metres tall, discovering the seasons of the bamboo, organic cultivation techniques and other interesting facts.
We’ll then sample bamboo-based products: bamboo shoots preserved in oil, jams and other surprising creations, accompanied by water and local wine. Fresh bamboo shoots have a delicate flavour, vaguely reminiscent of asparagus, artichokes or, depending on the variety, new potatoes. Would you ever have guessed?
And finally, it’s important to remember that, as well as food products, the farm contributes to environmental sustainability through CO₂ reduction, phytoremediation and the sustainable production of yarns and furniture!
The experience lasted about one and a half hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions. Minors may take part unaccompanied.
The experience is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with pushchairs.

The experience takes place in May, June, July, September and October, and is confirmed once the minimum number of 4 participants has been reached.

Dogs on a lead are permitted.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
