Embark on Obelix, the gozzo that will take you on a fantastic 2½-hour tour in the enchanting waters of the Ligurian Sea.
Experience the marvellous Cinque Terre, admiring its beautiful landscapes from the perspective of the sea. Listen to the skipper's fascinating stories and discover the rich biodiversity of the Marine Protected Area.
Let yourself be tempted by a refreshing dip in the secret coves between Corniglia and Vernazza and, to delight your palate, enjoy the delicious Ligurian focaccia on board!
What we will do
The tour will start at the time chosen at the time of booking in Manarola to meet the skipper and board the gozzo Obelix. Once set sail, we will be lulled by the waves as we sail along the coast, admiring the Cinque Terre from the sea.
This area of Liguria, apart from being one of the most famous in the world and a symbol of Italy, is also aProtected Marine Area for biodiversity: we will have the skipper tell us interesting stories and curiosities about this place.
We willvisit the five villages on the slopes below thecoast that we can admire from our boat. When we arrive between Corniglia and Vernazza, two of the most picturesque villages, we will try to enter a lesser-known cove for a 20-minute swim.
Those who wish can simply dive into the water and swim or do some snorkelling and try to spot some fish inhabiting the seabed.
Time to get back on board and head back to Manarola, but not before a cool drink and, above all, a piece of focaccia to recharge our batteries and experience the essence of all-Ligurian goodness.
The excursion lasts a total of about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to all, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Children under the age of 2 participate free of charge.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible, but is accessible for those with walking difficulties.
Other information
The excursion takes place from April to October.
The boat is called Obelix, a 9-metre gozzo with a shower, cushions, 12 seats in the cabin and a fridge to keep drinks cool. However, it does not have a bathroom, so it is advisable to go to the toilet before embarking. It is possible to bring food and drinks on board.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
