Set sail at sunset from Manarola aboard the gozzo Obelix for an unforgettable tour of the Cinque Terre.
On this excursion you will explore theProtected Marine Area with a local skipper and admire the picturesque villages as the sun dips into the sea.
And between swimming in hidden coves and snorkelling, don't miss thesunset aperitif with local wine and typical products: because even at sea a toast is a must!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Manarola, in the province of La Spezia. Once on board the gozzo Obelix, we will cast off our moorings and begin our navigation, admiring the Cinque Terre from the sea.
This area of Liguria, besides being one of the most famous in the world , is also aProtected Area for biodiversity. We will sail under the coast to admire the five villages that rise up on the slopes and, when we arrive between Corniglia and Vernazza, two of the most picturesque, we will enter a lesser-known cove for a bathing stop of about 20 minutes.
While waiting for the sun to set, those who wish can dive into the water or perhaps do a little snorkelling and try to spot some fish inhabiting the seabed.
When the sun turns the sea into a fiery red expanse, we will uncork a bottle of wine produced right here in the Cinque Terre and enjoy local delicacies for anaperitif (included). Here our experience will turn from great to memorable!
Once the toast is over, it will be time to head back towards Manarola. We will finally return to the meeting point for a suggested duration of about 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to all, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 2 participate free of charge.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible, but is accessible for those with walking difficulties.
Other information
The excursion takes place from April to October.
Theboat is called Obelix, a 9-metre gozzo with a shower, cushions, 12 seats in the cabin and a fridge to keep drinks cool. However, it does not have a bathroom, so it is advisable to go to the toilet before embarking.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
