Asinara isn’t just an island; it’s a little world of its own. And you’ll explore it in style aboard an elegant catamaran, with nets at the bow where you can stretch out in the sun.
What’s on the agenda for the day? Stops at picture-perfect coves, crystal-clear water perfect for snorkelling, and a landing at Fornelli to explore the island with a guide. All topped off with an aperitif and a platter of nibbles, followed by a lunch of fregola, Sardinian wine and myrtle liqueur.

What we will do
We set off at 9. 30 am from Stintino (please arrive 15 minutes early) . Once all participants have boarded the Iroquois 32 catamaran , we’ll be ready to set sail! We’ll be accompanied by an experienced skipper and an official guide from the Asinara Park, who’ll be on hand to share interesting facts and stories about this corner of Sardinia.
We’ll sail towards Fornelli, situated in the southern part of the island, where, accompanied by a guide, we’ll take a walk through history and nature, visiting – where possible – the former maximum-security prison, nicknamed the ‘Italian Alcatraz’ due to its location.
We’ll then set sail for the island’s eastern coast: we plan to stop at at least three idyllic coves, chosen depending on the weather conditions from among Cala Rosario, Cala degli Inglesi, Cala d’Oliva and Cala dei Fornelli. In these coves, the water is so clear that you’ll be able to see the seabed right from the boat.
Around midday, we’ll stop in one of the coves for an aperitif with a platter of cold cuts and local specialities, followed by lunch on board: fregola with crab sauce (or meat ragù for those who don’t eat fish, and ‘scalzo’ sauce for vegetarians) . To drink, there’ll be Vermentino di Sardegna, water, soft drinks, and to finish, coffee and mirto.
We’ll spend the afternoon enjoying the sea, swimming and snorkelling. We’ll return to port around 5. 30 pm, with salt still on our skin and all the shades of blue of Asinara etched in our eyes.

The boat is not wheelchair accessible.

The experience is bookable from May to October and is confirmed when there are at least 6 participants.
Theboat is a 9.20-metre-long, twin-engine Iroquois 32 catamaran with large nets at the bow where you can lie in the sun, a spacious, shaded cockpit at the stern and a toilet. Dogs are not allowed on board, as per Asinara National Park regulations.
For aperitifs and lunch, vegetarian and non-fish-eating options are available. For those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance, it will be possible to bring a packed lunch (€10 reduction on the participation fee).
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport; free parking spaces are available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
