Have you ever heard of Underwater Wine?
If the answer is no, then prepare to be amazed!
Sailing a gozzo along the enchantingArgentario coastline, you will have the opportunity to taste a wine aged in the depths of the sea! The sea in fact works like a natural hibernation, compressing the wine and then releasing its aromas in an explosion of flavours.
Between diving into turquoise waters, relaxing and tasting something out of the ordinary, we have no doubt: this experience will win you over!
What we will do
We will meet in Porto Santo Stefano (GR ) at the time chosen during the booking process. Our skipper will welcome us and take us on board the wooden gozzo"Pasha".
In about 15 minutes of navigation we will reach Cala Grande, one of the most beautiful dive sites in the area. Here we will make a swim stop of about half an hour to dive into the clear waters and, if we wish, do some snorkelling to admire the seabed.
Once back on board, we will continue sailing to stop in a cove sheltered from the wind and little frequented, where we will enjoy a tasting of wine aged underwater where the skipper will serve a bottle of Morellino di Scansano from the Argentario 4 Atmosfere winery. This is a wine that has undergone a special ageing process, immersed in the waters at a depth of between 30 and 60 metres. The constant pressure, gentle movements of the currents and protection from the light enhance its characteristics, giving it longevity, rich aromas and minerality.
We will savour all its various scents while the skipper tells us more about the history of this wine and its unique ageing process, answering our questions and guiding us through this unique tasting, accompanied by an aperitif with bruschetta and snacks.
Finally, we will return to the starting point after about 3 hours of touring.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to everyone aged 18 and over.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible; people with reduced mobility are welcome on board: please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to let them know.
Other information
The tour is available from March until the beginning of November and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 3 participants.
The boat used is a historical 8.5 m wooden gozzo named'Pasha', licensed for a maximum of 7 passengers. Pasha is equipped with an awning, sundeck, freshwater shower and 2 ladders for access to the water. It will be necessary to remain barefoot on board. With this boat, sailing will be a very relaxing 'walk on the sea'.
On request, it will be possible to purchase additional bottles of wine aged underwater from the Argentario 4 Atmosfere winery at a cost of €45 per bottle.
The aperitif is included in the price. In the event of food allergies or intolerances, there will be no alternative menu, but it will be possible to bring your own food on board.
Well-socialised and well-behaved small dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and there is a pay car park nearby.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
