If you’re picturing a horse in a kayak, it’s time to put your drink down.
Spend an adventure-filled day with our super-combo horse ride and kayak tour: first you’ll ride through the characteristic Mediterranean countryside, then you’ll paddle off to explore the Salento coastline. You’ll be joined by a team of local guides ready to take you on this adventure!
And we certainly won’t be skipping the aperitif (despite your vivid imagination) .
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before 07: 30 at the meeting point in Nardò (LE). Waiting for us there will be the horse-riding guide who will accompany us on this (first) adventure!
Once all participants have gathered, we’ll be given our equipment, mount our horses and learn the basics of horse riding; this will take about 10 minutes. And there we are, ready for our 2-hour horse ride: we’ll venture into the Porto Selvaggio Nature Park, riding through the Salento countryside. Along the way, we might even come across some traditional Salento farmhouses!
We’ll then have some free time (8 hours) before heading to the meeting point for the next activity; to get there, you’ll need to make your own way for a journey of about 15 km.
We’ll meet at the meeting point in Conchiglie-Alto Lido (LE). Waiting for us there will be the kayak tour guide who’ll accompany us on this (second) adventure!
Once all participants have gathered and the equipment has been handed out, there will be a briefing during which the guide will provide all the information needed to ensure a worry-free experience. This will take about 20 minutes. And here we are, ready for our kayaking excursion! Depending on the best weather conditions of the day, we’ll either paddle towards the rocky stretch between Quattro Colonne and Montagna Spaccata or head for the sandy stretch of Gallipoli. We’ll paddle along the Salento coast, venturing out to sea to experience the unique thrill of being surrounded by the blue! The kayaking tour will last approximately 2 hours and will end at the meeting point.
Before rounding off the day, we’ll stay on the kayaks a little longer and enjoy an aperitif featuring local baked goods, accompanied by water and wine.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
No fear of water is required to participate.
The experience is not accessible to persons with motor disabilities.
The experience is of an easy level and suitable for first-time kayakers and horse riders.

Please note! This experience requires you to arrange your own transport.
The experience runs from April to November and is confirmed once a minimum of 5 participants has been reached.
The timing of the kayaking tour may vary depending on sunset, at the guide’s discretion. Usually, the meeting time with the guide is between 16: 45 and 18: 15, depending on the season.
To take part in the activity, you must comply with the dress code. If these requirements are not met, the experience may be cancelled and no refund will be given, at the guide’s discretion. There is an outdoor toilet at the riding centre where you can get changed.
Small dogs are permitted. During the kayaking excursion,they may join you in a double kayak; during the horse riding excursion, they may remain in a dedicated pen. Please contact the guide using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know your four-legged friend will be joining you.
The kayak tour organiser has single sit-in kayaks and double sit-on-top kayaks available. Allocation will be at the guide’s discretion.
Free parking is available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
