TheTuscan-Emilian Apennines will have no more secrets by taking part in our quad bike tour!
A guide will take you along a dirt track between Livizzano and theOrrido di Botri, crossing the plateau of centuries-old chestnut trees at Le Campore.
A half-day experience, between the silence of nature and the roar of your Yamaha Kodiak 700 quad bike!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Livizzano (LU). I am your guide and I will accompany you on this quad bike tour!
Upon your arrival, I will hand over the vehicle, a Yamaha Kodiak 700 quad bike. I will then give you a 15-minute briefing during which I will explain how to drive it with ease, so that you can enjoy the experience without worries; this will be followed by a test drive on a track.
Initially, we will take mule tracks, dirt roads, and fords in the vicinity at an altitude of 600 metres. We will continue along forest paths that will lead us to the slopes of Monte Prato Fiorito, at an altitude of 1,000 metres. From here we will take a red stone dirt road to Le Campore, a plateau decorated with characteristic centuries-old chestnut trees. Finally, we will reach the Orrido di Botri nature reserve, where we will stop for a picnic lunch or a restaurant lunch if a supplement is requested (not included).
After 44 km and 1,000 m of altitude difference we will return to the meeting point, for a total duration of 6 hours. Short stops are planned along the way.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone.
The driver must be at least 18 years old and have an A or B licence.
The passenger must be at least 10 years old and at least 140 cm tall.
Other information
The experience takes place every Sunday from January to December , weather permitting at the organiser's discretion.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
There is a car park on site.
Nine quad bikes with a total of 18 participants between drivers and passengers are available for this experience.
Halfway through, it is possible to take turns driving, subject to a practical driving test.
A breathalyzer is available on site for possible checks; the driver's blood alcohol level must be 0.
Two changing rooms with toilets, showers and lockers are available on site, which are not locked but can be kept by the operators.
A lunch supplement is available at the reserve restaurant Il Nido dell'Aquila at a cost of €15.00 per person to be paid on site; the set menu includes 1 starter, 2 first courses, water and coffee.
