Let's face it: a view like this is usually only seen in films. And what a film!
Get ready to take the field - literally - and ride a quad bike through the same hills that served as the backdrop for the legendary scenes in The Gladiator.
In Val d'Orcia, reality surpasses fiction and you will be the protagonist of a two-hour adventure through dust, dirt tracks and delightful villages.
What we will do
The appointment is at the indicated time at the meeting point in Pienza (SI), in the locality of Spedaletto. Awaiting us will be the guide who will accompany us during the excursion.
Before setting off, we will attend a short briefing on the operation of the vehicle and safety, so that we can get familiar with the quad bike. Once we are ready, we will begin our adventure along a loop route that winds through the fields and dirt roads of the Val d'Orcia.
We will not tackle any asphalt stretches or demanding off-road trails, as the itinerary is designed to be purely scenic and accessible.
During the tour we will stop at the famous wheat field from 'The Gladiator', where we will stop to admire the view and take some photos. We will then continue towards the surroundings of San Quirico d'Orcia, passing through scenery characterised by classic rows of cypresses and perched villages.
Finally, we will close the loop by returning to our starting point in Pienza. The activity will last about 2 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be over 18 years of age and hold a B licence or equivalent, including a foreign one. New drivers are also welcome to drive the vehicle. Aminimum age of 6 is required for passengers .
Other information
The activity is available from April to October.
During the excursion, it will be possible to switch to the guide if both participants meet the necessary requirements.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
