Explore the most beautiful parts of Taormina aboard a semi-submersible. You’ll feel like a real explorer and, armed with your camera or smartphone, you’ll take some incredible photos!
The semi-submarine is fitted with large underwater windows that will allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of the seabed. You’ll also see the interior of the Grotta degli Innamorati and the famous Grotta Azzurra.

What we will do
We’ll be meeting in Giardini Naxos (ME). Here we’ll be welcomed by the captain, who’ll take us aboard the semi-submersible. This unique vessel, almost 10 metres long, features a passenger compartment situated below the waterline and large windows through which to admire the seabed.
Once we have taken our seats, we will set off to explore the coast of Taormina and Giardini Naxos. Through the windows, we will admire the seabed, rich in flora and fauna. In particular, we will see a great many corals and Posidonia, an aquatic plant typical of the area.
We’ll also visit the Grotta degli Innamorati, head to Capo Taormina and then on to the Isola Bella Nature Reserve, a true natural gem. We’ll stop here for about ten minutes before heading to the Grotta Azzurra, another unmissable wonder of Sicily.
If we’re lucky, we might even spot some friendly dolphins!
The excursion will last a total of 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is suitable for everyone, with no age restrictions. Children aged 0 to 3 can take part for free.

The excursion is available from April to October, subject to weather and sea conditions.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. There are both free and paid car parks on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
