History, sport or nature? That's the dilemma. But with this 2-hour SUP tour, you no longer have to choose.
In the company of an instructor, you will depart from Formia and reach the small port of Caposele, where the ancient remains of a Roman villa lie, nestled between the sea and the cliffs of the Gulf of Gaeta.
More than an excursion, a true plunge into the past!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 09:00 at the meeting point in Formia (LT), in the fabulous setting of the Gulf of Gaeta. We will be welcomed by theSUP instructor who will guide us during this tour!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will have a short briefing and board the SUP. Paddle after paddle, we will leave the beach of Formia behind us and reach the small port of Caposele, about 1 km away.
From the unique perspective of the sea, we will be able to admire the remains of anancient Roman fishpond and an imposing maritime villa.
Afterwards, we will land on a small beach adjacent to the port, to have a close look at the nymphaeums decorated with ancient stuccoes. Before returning, we can enjoy a refreshing swim.
We will finally return to the meeting point after covering a distance of about 5 km. The tour will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 7 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have signed authorisation.
This activity is of an easy level, suitable for a first SUP experience.
Other information
The experience is available from April to November subject to weather conditions at the organiser's discretion, and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
On site, there is a changing room with toilet facilities, hot shower for a fee with 50 cent coins, lockers with padlocks available for storing personal belongings. In summer, a bathing service is available, which includes a sunbed, parasol and bar service.
On-site parking is available free of charge or for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
