Track day: drive your car on the track at the Imola Circuit

Your car. A legendary circuit. And 25 minutes to experience it from the driver’s seat.

At the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola, you can take your car off the everyday roads and drive it on the circuit you’ve seen so many times from the grandstands or on a screen.

You’ll have 25 minutes on the track to put yourself to the test with bends, braking points and acceleration. You can drive on your own, have an instructor ride alongside you to hone your technique, or take a passenger on board and share the adrenaline of the circuit with them.

What we will do

On the day of the experience, turn up at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola with your own car. Less than an hour from Bologna, it is one of the world’s most important circuits, famous for its technical and challenging layout: 4, 909 metres, 16 bends and 4 straights.

After checking in, you’ll take part in a briefing lasting around 20 minutes, covering instructions for driving on the circuit and safety rules.

Then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for: helmet on and engine running. When it’s your turn, you’ll leave the pits and find yourself on the tarmac of a real racetrack, free to discover your car in a setting completely different from everyday driving.

You’ll have 25 uninterrupted minutes on the track ahead of you: corners to tackle, braking points, acceleration and straights where you can finally feel how your car responds when the road gives way to the circuit.

If you want to improve your technique, you can take to the track with an instructor by your side; alternatively, you can take an adult passenger on board and share the experience with them. At the end of the session, you’ll return to the pits. But after driving your car at Imola, seeing it parked outside your house might make you feel quite differently about it.

Including the welcome, briefing and track session, the experience lasts approximately 1 hour in total.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is open to all holders of a Category B driving licence. Foreign Category B licences – whether European or international – are accepted, provided they are valid for driving in Italy.

Accompanying guests can access the circuit areas and the snack bar by purchasing the Paddock Pass for €20. To ride in the car during the session, however, you must purchase the Passenger Pass.

Important: to take part, your car must be registered and insured under a third-party liability policy that is also valid on private premises. Before booking, please check directly with your insurance company that your car insurance policy includes this cover. It is the participant’s responsibility to verify this.

When booking, you can select any additional services, including:

• On-board instructor (€100), who will sit next to you during your session and give you guidance on lines, corners and how to approach the track;
• Passenger pass (€30), allowing an adult companion to ride with you during all selected sessions;
• Paddock pass (€20), to allow a companion to access the circuit areas and the snack corner.

The passenger must wear a helmet and a seatbelt. If they do not have their own helmet, they can hire one at the track for €10.

It is possible to book multiple sessions on the same day. If there are several drivers and you wish to take turns at the wheel of the same car, each driver must meet the driving requirements and purchase the relevant Passenger Pass. However, it is not possible to swap drivers during the same session.
