Every epic adventure is born from a burning fire and a blow from the anvil. And today you are behind the hammer!
Learn the techniques passed down from blacksmiths with a day of forging in Norcia. In the company of a survival instructor, you will learn the basics of this craft applied to survival, shaping various tools.

What we will do
The appointment is at 8 a. m. at the meeting point in Campi di Norcia (PG). A survival instructor will be waiting for you, ready to guide you through this unusual experience.
After an initial explanation on the use of equipment and safety rules, you will enter the heart of traditional forging: anvil, hammer and the heat of the forge (and sweat! ) will be your companions for the day.
You will start with basic operations, such as hardening the iron to make a chisel or small tools. Step by step, you will learn how to shape metal, creating hooks and useful tools in the woods, until you get to the set of techniques needed to obtain a sharp surface.
You will discover how fire and tempering transform the material, following a technique handed down since the Middle Ages, and how to carefully maintain cutting tools.
You will end the day with a final debriefing to exchange impressions and final tips. The activity will last a total of 9 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 16 and over. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Other information
The experience takes place from October to May, exclusively for groups of up to 3 people.
The exact meeting point will be communicated to you by the instructor after the booking has been confirmed. The experience may take place outdoors or indoors, depending on weather conditions.
Dogs are not allowed.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport. Free parking is available on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
