Have you ever dreamed of exploring the depths of the mountain like a real miner?
A unique adventure awaits you in the heart of the province of Lucca : a trek inside the ancient mines of Battiferro, which will put you to the test with some equipped sections and small jumps.
A 3-hour experience that will take you back in time!
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Fabbriche di Vergemoli (LU) . We will be welcomed by the forest adventure park instructor who will accompany us on this underground experience!
After handing over the equipment (harness and helmet) and a short briefing on the activity we are going to perform, we will set off on a short trek that will lead us to the mouth of the ancient mines.
Along the way, we will admire the natural potholes, formed by water flowing down the gorge, and listen to the stories and legends of the place narrated by the instructor.
Once we enter the mines, we will do a real trek, which will also feature some sections of an equipped route (like a ferrata) and small jumps, which will be used to cross the streams we will encounter. We will move along the mining galleries, where we will be able to breathe in the atmosphere of the underground and discover how they were excavated.
We will conclude the excursion by returning to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 8; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The activity is not accessible to pregnant women and is not recommended for those suffering from claustrophobia. To participate, you must be in good health, have a minimum height of 130 cm and a maximum weight of 110 kg.

The experience takes place all year round:
- on weekends from March to the beginning of June and then from the end of September to the end of October.
- every day from mid-June to mid-September.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, but there are free parking spaces on site.
Dogs are not allowed.

The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
