Enjoy a jeep and trekking tour on Etna to admire the fascinating volcanic landscapes, even more impressive in the light of the sunset!
ExploreEtna and its side craters, visit a lava flow tunnel and admire the Valle del Bove from a privileged perspective at the top of the volcano.
The tour will be led by an environmental guide who will reveal all the secrets of Europe's largest active volcano and take you to the best viewpoints!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 15:00 at the meeting point in Viagrande (CT). After meeting the guide and holding a brief introductory briefing, we will board the off-road vehicle to reach the starting point of the trekking route. Already during the transfer we will see the landscape gradually transform, leaving room for expanses of lava and ash.
The trekking route will take us to the crest of the Valle del Bove, the scene of Etna's best-known eruptions. This is anenormous volcanic basin generated by the sinking of two ancient craters; thanks to the guide's historical and geological information, we will get to know it in detail.
Aspeleological exploration of a lava tunnel is also planned along the route. We will walk for about 3 km, reaching an altitude of1,900 metres and covering a difference in altitude of 300 metres. The pace of the walk will be leisurely, with multiple breaks to admire the landscape and observe the surroundings.
The experience will last about 5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children aged 0-5 years participate free of charge but you must contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate their presence.
The activity is of an easy level and does not require training.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when a minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport. A transfer service from your accommodation to the meeting point is available at a cost of €10.00 per person: to request this, contact the organiser (references will be sent to you by e-mail with the booking confirmation).
The organiser has several off-road vehicles approved for the transport of 7 or 8 passengers and used according to availability. Child seats are available to request free of charge by contacting the organiser at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
