Want to get away from city stress? Discover the natural beauty of the Abruzzo National Park?
Then a trekking tour to the Camosciara waterfalls is just the thing for you. Immerse yourself in an enchanting place, named after the chamois population that inhabits the area.
You will admire an amphitheatre with rock walls similar to the Dolomites and reach the spectacular Cascate delle Ninfee and Tre Cannelle waterfalls. It is a plunge into peace, in a clean and fresh land, where the mountains merge with the valleys.

What we will do
The appointment is at 10 a.m. in Civitella Alfedena (AQ), in the La Camosciara Nature Reserve. You will start right from here, from this natural amphitheatre framed by mountains, streams and forests, illuminated by the sun and inhabited by free-roaming animals.
After due introductions and a briefing on the route, we will be ready to set off. We will walk for about 3 hours along a nature trail of about 4 km, with an altitude difference of 100 m.
I will guide you along the part of the Regio Tratturo Pescasseroli-Candela and tell you about the history of the oldest park, its origins and the surrounding villages.
I will then take you through the beech forest to the scenic Cascate delle Ninfe and Tre Cannelle waterfalls, immersed in the beech forest and caressed by the gentle, reassuring sound of the clear water flowing in the stream.
Between the initial briefing, stops and the walk, the tour lasts a total of four hours.

The hike is available all year round, weather permitting.
Dogs may participate in the hike, provided they are socialised and on a leash.
Those who wish can return from the waterfalls to the starting point by small train (approx. €2).
There is a pay car park on site. There is no telephone line here.
