Set off on an exciting trekking tour to the Gorropu Canyon and explore a truly unique and evocative area. On board our off-road vehicle you can ford the Rio Flumineddu river and arrive at the path that will allow you to reach the Canyon.
The Gorroppu Canyon is hidden in the wild Supramonte of Urzulei and Orgosolo and is certainly one of the most fascinating trekking experiences in Sardinia for enthusiasts. One of the deepest canyons in Europe has emerged from the bed of the Flumineddu river, full of fascination for its narrow paths along rock walls that rise up to 500 metres.
An unforgettable experience that, thanks to the local guide, will allow you to better appreciate the natural wonders you will encounter. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment with the guide is at 8.30 a.m. in Orosei (NU). After forming the group and holding a quick briefing, we will begin our adventure in Su Cungiadeddu (830 m above sea level) on board the 4×4 off-road vehicle.
After crossing the ford of the Rio Flumineddu, we will begin our walk through the forest of holm oaks, strawberry trees and Mediterranean scrub along the walls of Monte Oddeu. We will reach the point where the actual Canyon of 'Su Gorropu' begins, whose limestone walls have been shaped over time by the river.
As we continue with theexploration of the gorge, the excursion becomes more challenging: we will have to use our hands in order to overcome the large boulders lying on the bed of the Rio Flumineddu.
At this point, we will stop for a regenerating break under one of the fascinating rock walls and head back towards the off-road track.
The walk is a total of 8.5 km long , with an altitude difference of 400 m. The hike will take a total of 8 hours, 4 of which will be actual walking time.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
